What is Mexpats?
Mexpats are a group of migrants who know well the challenges, difficulties and needs involved in starting and improving a new life in a new country. As a result of this experience, we decided to offer you an online English school adapted to the needs of the migrant population in the United States.
How is Mexpats different from any other English academy?
We have been in your place, and we know how it is. Our classes are taught by professionals specifically trained in helping people like you achieve your goals. The teachers at Mexpats are not grammar teachers, they are masters at getting you to speak English in the way you really need to achieve life-changing goals.
What do I need to participate in the lessons? Do I have to buy any books?
All you need is a cell phone, your desire to learn, and a decent internet connection. We provide all the necessary materials, we teach you how to use the teaching platform - Zoom, Google Meets, or Telegram - and we guide you throughout the process. If you can attend a video call, you can learn English at Mexpats.
Is everything online? Do you have face-to-face classes?
Everything is online. Our goal is that you can learn whenever you want, from anywhere you want.
Do you provide certificates or degrees of any kind?
No, at Mexpats we prefer to focus on you achieving effective learning. However, with the level of English that you can reach with us, you will be more than prepared for the exam of any official certification that you wish to take.
What happens if I can't take a class, do I get my money back?
In the event that you cannot take a class, all you need to do is contact us at the usual email within a minimum of 24 hours before the class, and we will save your class for the day and time you wish, within a period of two months from the purchase of the hour, at which time the hour expires. There is no limit to the number of times you can make that change, we strive to accommodate your circumstances.
Can someone else use the hours I have purchased?
Yes. There are two ways to do it. One is our family package, in which case everyone living in the same household can use the hours purchased in the package. The other way is to contact us at the usual email in case you want to transfer your hours to someone else.
How long will it take me to learn?
The question is, what level of English do you need? In the first session with Mexpats, our specialists in English for migrants will carry out an evaluation and an interview to determine your current level, the distance to the level you want to reach, and an estimate of the time you will need to reach it, taking into account the number of sessions and work that you want to apply to achieve it. Spoiler alert: it's a lot less than you think, and we'll explain why.
What forms of payment do you accept?
You can pay with any of the cards you usually use - debit and credit alike - through our website. Our payments are channeled through Stripe, the world's most important and secure international platform for digital payments.
